This comfortable, private cottage has space to relax and unwind in the heart of the Historic Faubourg Marigny Neighborhood, surrounded by Mardi Gras dens, many music venues, bars, and restaurants. A 2 min. walk brings you to a beautiful park on the Mississippi River. A 5 min.five min.walk from the cottage takes you to Frenchman street where you will find plenty amazing Jazz clubs, hip cafes and restaurants that should not be missed.Then 3 blocks down Frenchman St. you are in the French Quarter also know as the Vieux Carre (old square) Our cottage offers access to the adventure and mystery of New Orleans away from the crowds and noise of Bourbon St. but still close enough to walk. Summary: My daughter and I have been to New Orleans many times and this is our preferred place to stay. Brandon is such a good host and we feel very safe in his cottage. It is a 20 minute or less walk to the Quarter, the Bywater and Crescent Park. Plenty of eating places and coffee shops nearby.

Summary: Brendan was great. He contacted us before we got there and met us when we got there. His house is on the same property, so very convenient. Walking to the French Quarter is pretty easy. There are several shops and cafes even in the same area. New Orleans reminds me of a college town. Lots of people walking around, every one is friendly. We had a great trip.

Summary: Just me and my sister stayed in this rustic little bungalow. She got the bed, I got the fold out couch. It sleeps like all fold outs, not great but not bad. I was more tolerant of the simple and basic accommodations than she was. Neither of us are city people which explains our not being thrilled with the location. On a positive side, we (both over 65) walked to everything we wanted to see and do. The hosts were great and gave good info when asked!! If you are going during Mardi Gras, be prepared for lots of party noise. A good convenience store located steps away. You may or may not hear what we thought was a cat walking on the roof. Just a heads up because it startled us at first. All in all we both enjoyed our stay.

Summary: I am so glad that I found this property in the Marigny to stay at when visiting family. The location was perfect for my needs. The hosts were very helpful, check in was easy, the bungalow was just the right size. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit New Orleans.

Summary: The property was in an easy walking location to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. It was easy for a couple to stay at, however there are no cooking facilities (which was clear in the listing). We enjoyed staying here.

Summary: This cottage is great if you want to be only a few minutes away from all of the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street and the French quarter...Which we've done a few times already. Yes you're definitely close to all of that but...You're also within walking distance of a wonderful neighborhood filled with bars and restaurants and live music very colorful homes and even more colorful locals. Quiet neighborhood Very comfortable bed. The kitchen only consisted of a microwave, coffee maker and a refrigerator... So we picked up a Crock-Pot so we can come home to have dinner after a day of exploring. (Although there really wasn't a need to cook because there are restaurants all throughout the neighborhood)The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
